I asked some of my couples from 2017 to share with me what their favorite memory (or memories) were from their wedding day! Click on “Read More” to see their beautiful and touching responses!!
Rhea shares “Walking down the aisle. This was the first time I saw all of my friends and family, wedding party, and Rich all in one place. The reality set in on how gorgeous the day was, how beautiful our decor turned out and that I really was about to get married!” pc: Alicia Wiley Photography
Rich adds “When Rhea put my wedding band on my finger, but the ring was too tight, so she let go but I jammed it on my finger anyway. I was wondering the whole rest of the time if it would ever come off again (it did).” ~ Rich
Groom Charlie said that his favorite wedding day memory was “seeing my bride, Joy, for the first time in her dress. A close second favorite was seeing all of our family and friends together in one place and how happy they were for us. pc: Bride’s Uncle
His Bride, Joy, shares “I have 3 favorite memories… my first was just hanging out with my girls while getting ready. It was the first time I had ever hung out with all them together since half of them lived in different states and it was just so fun! My second favorite memory was the moment I was walking down the aisle with my dad and I saw all of our guests and Charlie at the end. It was the most emotional moment for me. My third was just seeing all of my hard work in the decor and planning and my vision of how I wanted it to look came to fruition. I loved how it all came together and it was better than I had imagined.”
Jennifer shares “My favorite memory BY FAR was when he sang for me!” (Her groom sang a very special song to her at the reception!) pc: Focus Bay Photography
Doug & Julia both agreed that “the favorite part of our day was spending the reception worry-free with friends! Everything was already worked out so we didn’t have to stress about what time it was or if something was being skipped. We just were told occasionally what to do but otherwise we were totally catered to and allowed to do as we please. That made everything so nice. It felt like we weren’t really ‘hosting’ but we were important guests! I was worried that I would feel stressed about people enjoying themselves and I never felt that way with everything planned out.” pc: Frozen in Time Photography
Carly shared “I would have to say either welding during our ceremony (asnerve wracking as it was for me! It was so nice to have something that represented Tyler so well). Or that my mother made my wedding dress and I hadn’t even seen myself in it until shortly before walking down the aisle.” pc: Kayce Shoffner
Arnetta writes “My favorite memory from the wedding was when we cut the cake and Kam was drinking water. It was such a regular moment in an extraordinary day.” Guest submitted photo
Quinne recalls “Clearly/joyously was Dan’s reaction when he turned around and looked at me for the first time at the reveal. His smile was so big!!” pc: Angela Laurienzo Photography Inc.
May your wedding have as lovely of memories as these did!
