A Beach Themed Wedding In Maryland

While the calendar may be telling us that summer is coming to a close, with these nice warm days, I find that I am not ready for summer to end! So, I’m reminded of a beach-themed wedding I had last year in mid-September. One last glimpse before fall arrives!

I asked the bride from that wedding to share, in her own words, tidbits about their wedding. Read on for more! Dawn shares:

For our wedding, all I mainly cared about was that we were going to be outside for the ceremony, that the theme was a beach theme and that I wanted it to look beautiful. We had the theme carry over from little accents at the ceremony site to every small detail of the cocktail and reception space. My vision for the wedding was simple with a beach vibe but also with a touch of elegance. We were able to create that with the curtains, flowers and chandelier that we had at the ceremony space to the pink galaxy linens and floating candle centerpieces at the reception. The beach theme was what I had the most fun with from our lobster trap card box, hundreds of seashells on the tables to the beloved blue crab at the place card table. I wanted to make sure that our wedding was one that people enjoyed and remembered for years to come and I think we were able to do just that!

And, here are a few pictures from Dawn & Joe’s wedding! You’ll see that the ties on the draping at the ceremony site have shells in them. The drapes were reflective of flowing water!
