Happiest new year to you and yours! I am so excited to be celebrating another year gone by with you all and focus in on my goals and plans for 2023.
While we are a bit away from all things spring, it’s never too early to plan – especially if you are planning for a spring 2024 wedding! Today we are talking about spring wedding tips and tricks – and how to celebrate the season at your wedding!
There’s nothing more special than a new beginning, whether that be the new year, a new month, or a new leaf. Weddings themselves are definitely symbols of new beginnings, and spring weddings are a special kind of beautiful with all the outdoor and floral options provided to you.
Spring is all about vibrance and color and all things new. So, you’ll want to reflect this in your decor – from florals to your wedding colors. Choosing a color palette that is important to you and reflects the season – for example buttery yellow and blush pink – can make your wedding pop and really impact the vibe and feel of your event.
Another large consideration is your venue. Spring is a great time to go outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. It’s hard to resist beautiful new blooms and the natural landscape of trees coming back to life from the cold winter. While indoor venues definitely have their place, there is really nothing like the backdrop of some amazing outdoor local venues for springtime nuptials. After the I dos, you can host a springtime cocktail hour serving fresh and bright, fruity cocktails, and even an outdoor reception to dance the evening away in the warm spring air. The only downside is that of course you do need to plan on rain – as they say, April showers bring May flowers. 😉
Florals are obviously a big part of spring, and weddings are no exception! From floral headpieces to massive freshly arranged centerpieces – you can give nods to the season however subtle or loud and proud you want to be! Many florals in the spring are not available in the fall or winter and that can definitely give you an edge in choosing flowers as you will have many more options to choose from. Tulips, hyacinths, roses, pansies….just ask your florists…the options are plentiful.
Ultimately, you can see how planning a spring wedding can be to your advantage – and it offers many more options depending on what you’re looking for. I think it’s a great time to have a wedding, and one extra perk is that you can mostly avoid the holiday season, so your friends and family have less to compete with when scheduling their travel plans.
If you’re dreaming of a spring wedding, I can help! I’d love nothing more than to dream with you and make those dreams a reality. Call me today to talk details!
