While most of my work lately has been in wedding planning, management and coordination, Events by Lexi also offers corporate event planning — an business or social event hosted by a company for its employees, business partners, clients, and/or prospective clients that can be managed by an independent event planner. My entry into the world of corporate event planning actually started in the early 1990’s (!) as I was hired as a seminar coordinator for the new business team of an HR consulting firm in Washington, DC. The company itself was worldwide, and my role was to provide coordination for events the DC office held. Have you thought of these for your unity ceremony?

Tree-Planting Ceremony Last year, two of my couples had, as their “unity symbol”, a tree-planting element in their wedding ceremony. Love that idea! And, it can be used in both a religious or secular ceremony! These couples chose to add a tree-planting to their wedding ceremony as a symbol of their relationship – which has deep roots and will grow in the future, just like a tree! Any small “starter” tree in a small pot can work. Just a couple of cute little spades will assist you in planting your tree during the ceremony!
