What is the most rewarding part of being an event coordinator?
Being a part of the most wonderful day of a couple’s lives! Seeing you look at each other during the processional is amazing! And, being onsite to take care of all of the details so you really can enjoy a stress-free day is something that I love to give! There are so many lovely people in this world and getting to work with them is very special.
Do you have a payment plan?
Yes, a non-refundable retainer of 25% is due when the agreement is signed to secure the date and my coordination services. Twelve (12) weeks prior to the event date, 50% of the remaining balance is due; final payment of the remaining balance is due 28 days before the wedding/event rehearsal.
What sets Events by Lexi apart from other event planners and coordinators?
Polished. Professional. Prepared. In July 2016, I became a
“Certified Wedding Planner” through
The Bridal Society. To achieve this certification, I attended an in-depth 2-day course, learning even more about wedding planning and coordination. This certification shows that I am thorough, professional, and prepared for anything wedding-related! Also, I’m
Equality Institute Certified so I can better understand the unique needs and concerns of the LGBTQ community. Couples have also shared that I make the effort to get to know you and your needs even before really getting started working on the wedding details.
Through Events by Lexi, I have been an entrepreneur in the wedding and event industry for many years. As there is only me, when you contract with Events by Lexi, you contract with me. Acting as a liaison between you and the providers, I make sure your wedding day is just as amazing as you’ve always dreamed it would be! Within the event industry, the venue coordinator who was working with you may change, so having an independent coordinator with whom you have been working, ensures that nothing will fall through the cracks during the planning months. You will receive personal service as we work together from beginning to end to be sure all goes smoothly with no detail left undone. My focus is on YOU!
Can we afford you?
The question here really is can you afford not to hire a wedding planner! Consider all of the money being spent on this one day of your life, and do you want it to not play out the way you have envisioned it just because you didn’t have the support you needed?! Events by Lexi seamlessly and professionally executes all of your plans so that you can just relax and enjoy the day, celebrating with your family and friends!! While packages are available, services can also be customized to fit your needs. Pricing for coordination services ranges between 1950-4000, and the payment schedule can be adjusted to fit your budget.
Do you take more than one wedding/event per day?
No, I am on-site from the beginning stages of set-up through to the final kiss good-bye with your family and friends as you depart for your honeymoon! Having only one wedding per day allows me to focus all of my attention on you and your wedding!
For our wedding, will you work with our event professionals even if they are not ones you have worked with already?
Absolutely!! I love new wonderful wedding professionals. We are also here to help you by recommending the professionals we know do an amazing job. Be sure your wedding professionals are insured and licensed! As the lead member of your “wedding-day team,” I will introduce myself to the providers and through open communication will ensure we are all on the same page and will successfully execute the details of your wedding day! We are committed to working together to provide for you the wedding day you envisioned!

Who do you work best with when planning a wedding?
Excited couples who are thrilled to be joining together to begin this new chapter in their lives. Organized couples who are busy professionals and know that they want to enjoy their wedding day and not have to deal with any hiccups!!
Who is going to benefit from your help in planning my wedding?
Everyone! By having me work with you both in planning your wedding, you can rest assured that all of your needs will be met, as well as the needs of your families. Parents of the couple appreciate having someone to go to with questions as they plan the other social events associated with your wedding (the rehearsal dinner, day-after brunch, etc.). Parents have been dreaming of this day for years! Hiring a professional wedding planner allows your mom to help button up your dress instead of worrying about the wrong linens. Your dad will be able to get lined up for your first look with him instead of giving the limo driver directions! Your wedding professionals appreciate having a coordinator as their point of contact during the wedding preparations and wedding day, and happy professionals will be able to focus on the job for which you have hired them to do if you have me there! Your florist will have more time to set up the beautiful arrangements created for your wedding and make the space look amazing if everything is ready when they arrive. When everything is organized for them, the wedding pros will have the time to give an extra special touch to the service or product that they are providing for your wedding, which translates to a more amazing wedding for you! If they feel rushed because things weren’t organized, they won’t be able to do those extra special touches. The wedding pros will also reach out to me with questions and not bother you as you prepare and take care of the more personal tasks of your wedding festivities! Officiants enjoy having a wedding coordinator so that they can concentrate on you and the ceremony and not have to worry about the logistical details of the rehearsal and ceremony. A stress-free wedding day is possible for everyone involved when you hire a professional wedding planner!
Will I lose control of my wedding or event if you are planning it for me?
No, all decisions will be made by you — after all, it’s your day! I am available to bring valuable insight to you for help in making your decisions so that you have the best day ever!
How do you deal with bridezillas, groomzillas, and other 'zillas'?
I understand how much pressure people are under when planning a wedding! It can be stressful and bring out the worst in those involved. There can be so many different opinions shared, and couples want to create their own wedding and want to please everyone else. We all lose it sometimes; we all have moments when we aren’t really ourselves because we are under so much pressure. I encourage you to be forgiving of yourself in those moments, just as I will be forgiving with you if I was your wedding planner. Be gentle with yourself during those times, knowing that “this too shall pass”!
What is the one piece of advice you would give a couple to make the planning process easier?
Remember that this wedding is for YOU and YOUR PARTNER! Any and all elements of your wedding ceremony and reception should reflect your personality and style and no one else’s!
What would be a dream wedding to plan?
Our family loves the beach, so count me in on coordinating a wedding at a beautiful beach location.
What are your favorite color combinations for weddings?!
Love pink and green! Pink has always been my favorite color. Some of the unique combinations — gray and yellow or red, orange, & sage, or blue & gold, or teal and coral all look so nice! And, if you’d rather not have a dominant color, go with blue (2 shades for balance), orange, red and yellow for a fun visual vibe!
Are there any wedding trends that you absolutely love?!
Each wedding incorporates trends or ideas that fit with the couple’s vision and are important to them. Couples are creating save-the-date videos now rather than sending out a postcard. That way each person who receives the video can really see and hear from you and how excited you are for them to come to your wedding! Tents and twinkly lights are beautiful! How about a nitro-infused dessert (ice cream, popcorn, cotton candy balls) as part of your dessert buffet? Lots of fun and very interactive for your guests. I love a jewelry bouquet created from special pieces of family jewelry as a way to honor them! With a smaller wedding, incorporate “tiny toasts” at your reception, where loved ones are asked to share a fond memory of you, dinner party style, rather than just your honor attendants making traditional toasts.
What are your hobbies and non-work related interests?
I enjoy walking through our neighborhood with my family (or by myself!), traveling to see the many different areas of our country and the world, scrapbooking, music, and reading.
